A tiny bit of more info

Thursday, January 19, 2006 by Dawn B
Hi friends,
Yesterday we were given just a tiny bit more info about our paperwork process in China. Our paperwork arrived in China on May 6 (this we already knew), but we found out it was officially logged into the China system on May 31. This is actually good news since sometimes it takes up to 7 weeks to get logged. This now means we have a somewhat more firm estimate about timing. We will probably be in either the March or April "batch" of matches (so that's when we'll finally get some info about our little one). Then we will travel to get her in May or June.
It's an interesting way to be "expecting," n'est-ce pas?

The pictures we sent to China

Monday, January 02, 2006 by Dawn B
Thought you might find it interesting to see the pictures we sent to China with our dossier. Perhaps these explain the reason for the delay. :-)

Here is a picture of me cooking. Those of you familiar with my culinary skills might gasp in surprise, but this shot is authentic. I am here making fruit soup for our annual Julotta service.

Here's Andrew playing the piano in our living room. His parents should be so proud! The particularly observant might notice the small "dog-lion" figurine sitting on the piano. We assure you that Chinese decorative items are merely a coincidence.

Here is the mother-to-be, reading in the library.
The fact that she is reading a book on Chinese history and culture is, once again, an amazing coincidence.

And then, finally, a couple of shots of the happy couple. Don't you feel a tremendous urge to match them up with a wonderful little Chinese girl?
