Autumnal Althea

Thursday, December 07, 2006 by Dawn B
O.k., I know it's December, but I've been meaning to post these pics for . . .well . . .several weeks, obviously.
It was time to deal with the massive leaf accumulations in our yard, and Althea was ready to help.

First just a little romping about in the leaves.

Then she apparently thought eating them might work for clean up purposes. Mom discouraged this. Silly mom, roughage is good for babies!

She really does like to help (or try to) with just about everything we're doing. Her favorite trick lately is to spill milk out of her sippy cup, then delightedly wipe it up with a paper towel I give to her. Seems like a good idea, until she moves on to start eating the towel. Apparently, she really is craving more roughage.

She thought the giant bags were pretty neat. Actually she seems to enjoy containers of any kind, especially bags. Our girl just loves putting things into bags and carrying them around. One of her favorites is to pull all the magnetic letters off of the fridge and put them into a mini tote bag and deliver them to us. (Perhaps a future postal carrier dreaming of delivering letters?)

We were concerned that the leaf blower might scare her. Just who did we think we were dealing with? She loved watching Baba make the leaves dance around!

And when the leaves are all bagged, there's nothing better than kicking back with Baba.
