Happy Halloween!
It's Fairy Princess Althea here.
Perhaps you've been asking yourself, just what would the Burnett family look like if Althea got to pick the Halloween dress-up theme?
Well, here's your answer!
I was out shopping with daddy a few weeks ago when this little number crossed my path--sort of a sugar plum fairy look. Love the wand! (Mommy insists that I say funny words and just wave it in the air--seems much more functional as a tool for bonking things and people--oops, sorry mommy.)
Mommy had some fun with the whole "fairy" theme. Daddy found her a woodland fairy costume. I really liked the wings best. I have wings too, but mine aren't as big.
Here I am discovering the other super-fun thing about this weird night--candy! Kids come to our door looking really strange and sometimes scary. They look surprised to see all of us dressed up too. First they say the magic words (NOT "please" like I expected but "trick or treat"), and then they have to tell us what they are dressed up as, then mommy or daddy gives them candy. But I got some too!
The kids looked especially surprised when daddy came to the door. I can't imagine why.
He and I had lots of fun blowing on his pan flute and building Lego towers as we waited for more trick or treaters.
Here's our latest family portrait--go fig.
Well friends, time for me to fly off. Mommy says I need to find "a rose petal filled with dew for my evening ablutions." I thought I was just going to take a bath and head for bed.
Gotta love a night that's all about dressing up in costumes and eating candy!
Happy Halloween!
